HISTORY
Over a decade of building champions on and off the field. The WH Croxford Cavaliers football program has grown from humble beginnings into a proud tradition in the community.
Born in 2014
The WH Croxford Cavaliers football program was founded in 2014 with a simple but powerful vision: to provide student-athletes at WH Croxford High School with the opportunity to compete in varsity football and develop the skills, character, and discipline that the sport demands.
From the very first practice, the program was built on a foundation of hard work, accountability, and team-first mentality. Coaches, players, parents, and the broader school community came together to build something from scratch — no tradition, no history, just a blank canvas and a shared belief in what this program could become.
More than a decade later, the Cavaliers compete in the RockyView School Sports Athletics (RVSSA) league under School Sports Alberta (SSA). In a massive step for the program, Croxford has moved up from 4A to the 5A Division — the province's top tier, competing against the largest schools in Alberta. It's the next chapter for a program that has grown into one of the most respected in the region.

Like programs across the province, the Cavaliers paused play due to COVID-19 restrictions, using the time to rebuild depth and develop young talent.
Return to the Field
Football returned with renewed energy and a hungry roster ready to compete after the extended break.

Moving Up to 5A
A massive step for the program — the Cavaliers moved up from 4A to the 5A Division, the province's top tier, competing against the largest schools in Alberta.

Now in their 12th season, the Cavaliers continue to develop student-athletes and build a winning culture in the community.

Through his growth in the program, Bryce became recognized for his versatility, work ethic, and ability to compete at a high level against top provincial competition. Following his high school career, he committed to continue his football journey at St. Francis Xavier University, joining the St. Francis Xavier X-Men football program at the U SPORTS level. His commitment represents another important step in the evolution of the Cavaliers program and its ability to develop athletes capable of competing at the highest levels of Canadian university football.

Khaleel represents a historic milestone in W.H. Croxford Cavaliers football history. A standout during his time with the Cavaliers, Rahim developed into one of the program’s early impact players before advancing to the next level. He became the first athlete in school history to sign with a U SPORTS football program, committing to the Saint Mary’s Huskies. His achievement marked a defining moment for Croxford football, establishing a new benchmark for what student-athletes from the program could aspire to and helping pave the way for future Cavaliers pursuing post-secondary football opportunities.

Sam Lowe was one of the standout defensive backs during the early years of W.H. Croxford Cavaliers football and helped establish the identity and competitiveness of the program as it continued to grow. Following graduation, Sam advanced to the next level with the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL), continuing the tradition of Cavaliers athletes competing beyond high school. Today, Sam has come full circle in the game and serves as a defensive backs coach, helping develop the next generation of football players and continuing to make an impact on the sport from the sidelines.

Kaleb Hobson continued the growth of Cavaliers football by advancing to the next level after graduating from W.H. Croxford. Following his time with the Cavaliers, Kaleb joined the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL), where he quickly made an impact and earned CJFL All-Rookie Team honours in 2021. As one of the early Croxford alumni to continue competing at the junior level, Kaleb helped demonstrate the opportunities available beyond high school football and continues to represent the development and culture of the Cavaliers program.
