Coach's Message
Eric Chamberland
Head Coach
This one means something — and that goes for the stands too. Both schools are asking every fan, parent and student to bring the noise and leave the rest at home. Cheer loud for our guys, respect the visitors, respect the officials. Class on the field, class in the crowd.
Game Preview
The Cavaliers haven't hoisted the Westside Championship trophy in roughly five years — a stretch long enough that no one currently in the program has held it. That drought has shaped everything about this build. What's different in 2026 is who's walking through the door: a Grade 10 class stacked with players coming off a provincial title with the Airdrie Raiders, arriving with a winning habit already baked in. Pair that new blood with a veteran core led by Grade 12 captain and quarterback Marshall Diggins and receiver Levi Jones in his third season, and the Cavs have the most complete roster they've fielded in years. George McDougall will have something to say about it — the Mustangs always do, and this rivalry rarely goes according to script. But if Croxford is going to end the drought, this is the group to do it
